Herping in Colorado
Herping is the act of searching for reptile and amphibians.
Ryan Urbanek is fourteen years old and has been passionate about reptiles all his life. He is very energetic and never runs out of things to say. He has two older sisters named Karissa and Hayley. Hayley also loves reptiles and spends lots of time on the road with Ryan.
We live in Colorado and have spent the last seven years researching, traveling, and herping this great state. We hope to learn as much as possible, educate, promote conservation, and share our excitement with others.
This site is an ongoing project, we will be updating with each adventure. The species guide is updated with each new find. Colorado has 30 confirmed species of snakes including sub-species and a couple others that might or might not be here, it is our goal to find them all. Thank you for visiting.
